There are many philosophies on how to operate a glide computer ideally. Especially in turbulent weather with great climb rates, our opinion is that nothing beats robust knobs with an excellent feel. The two rotary encoders are supplemented by three buttons made of milled CFRP for function (FN), open menu (M) and close menu (X).

The SteFly rotary encoder module is the ideal input device designed for panel mounting. It offers a wide range of functions and can be installed below both the 5.7" and 7" OpenVario housing in a visually appealing way.

NEW!! An additional cut-out is no longer necessary for leading the cable through the instrument panel. The ribbon cable of the rotary encoder module is thin enough that it can be laid through the gap between the frame of the OpenVario and the panel cut-out.
